The Minds Mastering Machines conference returns to Karlsruhe from May 20th to 21st, 2025. Organized by iX and dpunkt.verlag, the event is aimed at data scientists, data engineers, and developers who implement machine learning projects. The focus is on current developments and challenges in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The rapid advancements in the field of generative AI have brought the technology into the public eye. Large Language Models (LLMs), however, are only one part of the AI spectrum. For many companies, training neural networks and applying classical machine learning methods continues to play a central role.
Minds Mastering Machines 2025 offers a broad range of topics that reflect the diversity of the AI landscape. The program includes presentations on current research trends in generative AI, the application possibilities of LLMs and agent systems, as well as the importance of classical ML methods for everyday applications.
The conference offers participants the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in AI and machine learning and to exchange ideas with experts. In addition to presentations on generative AI and classical ML methods, topics such as AI security, the analysis of large datasets with DuckDB, and the application of AlphaFold and graph neural networks in clinical decision-making are also on the program.
A special focus is placed on the practical application of LLMs in a business context. A dedicated online theme day on March 12th provides the necessary knowledge to effectively use LLMs and extend them with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). Participants learn how agent systems work and how to build a sample application from data extraction to implementation.
