iX Workshop Equips IT Professionals to Develop and Deploy Large Language Models

Large Language Models in the Enterprise: An iX Workshop Provides Orientation

The rapid development in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) presents companies with new challenges and opportunities. In particular, large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT have the potential to revolutionize processes and create new possibilities. But how can companies effectively use these complex technologies? The iX workshop "Developing, Fine-tuning and Implementing Large Language Models" offers IT experts the opportunity to acquire comprehensive knowledge and gain practical experience.

LLMs: Versatile and Customizable

Large language models are based on deep learning algorithms and are trained with massive amounts of data. This enables them to understand and generate human-like text, solve complex tasks, and adapt to different application areas. Companies do not necessarily have to develop their own models but can fall back on existing LLMs and tailor them to their specific needs.

Practice-Oriented Workshop for IT Experts

The iX workshop teaches both theoretical fundamentals and practical skills in working with LLMs. Participants get to know the deep learning framework PyTorch and train their own language and image recognition models step by step. Based on a concrete application example, the models are then optimized and adapted to specific requirements.

Topics Covered in the Workshop

The workshop is divided into three intensive days and covers the following topics:

  • Introduction to deep learning and PyTorch
  • Architecture and functionality of large language models
  • Training and optimization of LLMs
  • Adaptation and fine-tuning of models (fine-tuning)
  • Using pre-trained models from Hugging Face
  • Opportunities and risks of deep learning models

Competent Speakers with Many Years of Experience

The workshop will be led by two experienced experts from B1 Systems GmbH: Markus Gürtler, Senior Technology Evangelist, and Sergey Danilov, Data Scientist. Both have more than twelve years of experience in the field of artificial intelligence and deep learning and offer participants valuable practical knowledge.

Dates and Participation Requirements

The iX workshop will take place from October 15th to 17th, 2024 as an in-person event in Bonn and from October 28th to 30th, 2024 as an online training course. It is aimed at IT experts who are looking for a well-founded introduction to the topic of machine learning and want to familiarize themselves with the possibilities of LLMs. Basic programming skills in Python are an advantage.

Conclusion: Practical Preparation for the Future of AI

The iX workshop "Developing, Fine-tuning and Implementing Large Language Models" offers IT experts an ideal opportunity to explore current developments in artificial intelligence and recognize the potential of LLMs for businesses. The practical design of the workshop enables participants to put their learned knowledge directly into practice and optimally prepare for the challenges of the future.
