Black Forest Labs, a company specializing in artificial intelligence, has released its new image generation models under the name FLUX. This news follows a tweet from Wes Roth (@WesRothMoney), which announced the availability of the tools and highlighted the impressive quality of the images. The models are available in different variants, each tailored to different use cases.
Black Forest Labs offers FLUX in four different versions, which differ in performance, speed, licensing, and area of application:
FLUX 1.1 [pro]: The most powerful variant offers state-of-the-art image generation with high speed, precise prompt adherence, first-class visual quality, attention to detail, and output diversity. FLUX 1.1 [pro] is available through the Black Forest Labs API and through partners such as Freepik, Together.ai, Fal.ai, and Replicate. In addition, the company offers customized solutions for businesses.
FLUX.1 [pro]: The predecessor of FLUX 1.1 [pro] also offers high-quality image generation and is available via the API and through partners like Replicate, Fal.ai, Mystic, and Together.ai. Individual business solutions are also offered here.
FLUX.1 [dev]: This model is an open-weight model optimized through guidance distillation and intended for non-commercial applications. FLUX.1 [dev] achieves similar quality and prompt adherence as the Pro version but is more efficient. The weights are available on HuggingFace and can be tested via Replicate, Fal.ai, Mystic, Deepinfra, TensorOpera, and Hyperbolic.
FLUX.1 [fast]: The fastest model is designed for local development and personal use and is freely available under the Apache 2.0 license. The weights are available on Hugging Face, the inference code on GitHub. FLUX.1 [fast] can also be used via Replicate, Fal.ai, Mystic, Deepinfra, TensorOpera, and Together.ai.
The different versions of FLUX offer a wide range of access options, from direct integration via APIs to open-source options for developers and private users. This flexibility allows the use of the technology in various contexts and promotes the development of innovative applications.
Black Forest Labs is already working on a text-to-video model based on FLUX technology. This development could revolutionize content creation by enabling the generation of high-quality video clips solely through text input.
The release of FLUX by Black Forest Labs is also relevant for Mindverse, the German provider of AI-powered content tools. The new models could expand Mindverse's capabilities and further optimize the creation of text, image, and video content. Integrating FLUX into the Mindverse platform could offer customers even more comprehensive access to state-of-the-art AI technologies.
